SESI Capabilities

One of the most important aspects of the SESI solution is its flexibility.  SESI has become expert at implementing and performing our proposed solutions, including rapid escalation of the capabilities required to satisfy our customers.  This solution includes an organization that matches our customer’s needs based on the scope and categories of the provided work packages.

Authoring

The SESI organization is an industry leader in providing documentation services to our clients, whether the task be simple revisions to existing data, or the development of an entire suite of product support deliverables for a system.  SESI has the experience to perform a variety of documentation types ranging from system description, operation and maintenance, repair and overhaul, configuration management, illustrated parts listing, service bulletins and provisioning data.

Illustration

Our Technical Illustration and Graphics group utilizes cutting edge technology in the development of illustrations.  Employing the latest software and technology to produce graphical representations of engineering data, our illustrators readily work from rough sketches, illustration markups, scanned images and 3-D modeling geometry.

Composition/Editing

SESI utilizes the latest in off-the-shelf publishing software and also employs a group of software programmers that can and have developed custom-tailored software solutions to support the production of technical documentation, provisioning and configuration management data.

Production and Distribution

SESI delivers data in several forms, including paper, CD-ROM, web-enabled database access and on-demand printing capabilities for document distribution worldwide.

Storage

SESI is capable of storing documentation and deliverables in all forms that our clients may require conversion of physical media into electronic form is encouraged due to the high recurring cost of labor and storage.

Conversion

SESI specializes in conversion of legacy data, regardless of its current form.  Scanning, tracing, and conversion of illustrations or text (via OCR) to "neutral" formats is a standard service we supply many of our current clients.  SESI also procures and supports any software system required by our customers for the conversion process.

Database Management

SESI has developed a system that uses an ATA compliant database management system designed specifically to meet the demand for a cost effective technical documentation and publication system.  This system allows documents to be extracted from the database, assembled into customized catalogs by model number, serial number, effectivity or manual number and output on demand in a variety of media such as hard copy, CD-ROM, fiche, SGML, S & T files and Internet based publications.

In direct support of our customers’ configuration management and provisioning data requirements found in the Boeing Aircraft Company Customer Support agreement, SESI leads the way in S and T file deliverables as demonstrated in the letter forwarded from Barry Controls that confirms customer satisfaction.
